AboutMusic has always been part of Elya's life. Growing up in Switzerland, she found comfort in music, especially in the sound of an acoustic guitar. One of her earliest memories is asking her father to play Neil Young records. Yet, despite her love for music, she struggled to see her own potential.After becoming a mother, she found an outlet in songwriting that helped her process her emotions and put feelings into words. As her confidence grew, she began to wonder: if she encouraged her children to follow their dreams, why wasn't she following her own?Her music embraces melancholy without losing sight of joy, allowing tenderness and intensity to exist side by side, reflecting the contradictions that make us human.Her debut single, Dance on My Grave, was born from an ordinary scene during a difficult time: her children dancing freely around the living room. Blending acoustic warmth with an uplifting, bittersweet energy, the song is a reminder that even when everything feels heavy, there is still something worth dancing for.The single marks the beginning of her journey as a recording artist, with her debut EP on the way.
